Katrina E. Joseph is an associate attorney at Hughes & Costello, and practices in the areas of criminal law and employment and labor law. Katrina was admitted to the bar in October 2003, but has worked at our firm since June 2002, primarily in the areas of criminal, traffic, and ordinance violation prosecution. Additionally, she assists Martin Costello in arbitrating employment and labor law grievances.

As a student at the University of Minnesota Law School, she participated in, and was the student director of, the Misdemeanor Prosecution Clinic. Since she began her career as a certified student attorney, she has tried over 100 court trials, and has handled hundreds of criminal, traffic, and ordinance violation cases. Katrina has had extensive training in working with crime victims; before joining our firm, she volunteered at an organization in Saint Paul counseling victims of sexual and domestic assault. In May 2004, Katrina argued and won State v. Strandness, her first case before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Additionally, in December 2004, Katrina tried and won her first jury trial in Ramsey County District Court.
